These black/brown bristlenose have unique light yellow spotting as well as longer tails with patterns that you just wont find in other common plecostomus. The bristlenose plecostomus is a fantastic addition to the aquarium and a great choice to help clean the algae and biofilm off your decorations and glass. While these fish help keep your tank looking great, you should also feed your bristlenose to provide them enough food and a balanced diet. We feed ours green beans, zucchini and cucumber slices, as well as algae pellets. This very popular fish is a slow grower and stays small, maxing out at about 5″, unlike the common pleco which will quickly outgrow most home aquariums and is not recommended.
