The Hippo Point Salmon is a beautiful cichlid with a unique salmon color running through the majority of its body. Like most Victorian species, females tend to be quite bland and the male gets all the beautiful colors. This is a CARES for fish listed species as CVU – Vulnerable Species facing a high risk of extinction in the wild in the medium term future. These fish stay smaller then most African cichlids with males maxing at about 3.5 to 4 inches while females stay smaller at around 2 to 2.5 inches.
